Stunning's Black Pearl's Parlay
aka 'Pearl'

I would like to introduce everyone to Miss Pearl! Pearl-Girl is our keeper from Winnie x Haus's March 1st, 2021 St. Patrick's Day litter. Yes, she gets her name from Disney's 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. We're big fans.

Even though Pearl is 'just black' (as some people have said) and can only produce certain colored puppies, to me color is purely icing on the cake. Our puppies will be healthy and have excellent demeanors before anything else. ***

Temperament
I could not have gotten luckier with the puppy we chose. I realize I may be slightly biased, but no joke, Pearl is the most good-natured dog I have owned since my very first Standard Poodle 'Isabella' who I said goodbye to October 2020. That's the highest compliment any dog could get from me. Izzy was my 'heart dog'. Pearl is smart, goofy, chill, affectionate, curious and did I mention goofy? I could not have chosen better qualities in a dog. Pearl encompasses all the attributes of so many types of temperaments. She's my 'lazy couch-and-Netflix' dog, she's my 'busy around the house helping with chores' dog, she's my 'active summer hiking and swimming' dog, she's my road trip dog and so much more. Pearl loves people and there isn't a mean bone in her body. The Standard Poodle is  a water dog, but for Pearl that is an understatement. She has her very own kiddie pool which is lays in daily, our poor lawn hasn't had a proper drink since summer began because Pearl is always laying on the sprinkler...or has her mouth over it. Their water dish is never properly full because Pearl feel that it's not only a water dish but a foot bath. Alas....I give up. To Pearl, there are no such things as strangers. Just friends she hasn't met yet. Every single poodle I've owned has gone through a 'stranger danger' phase. Even the 'golden child' Isabella that I mentioned earlier. Some of them took longer to work out of it and some never did. Not Pearl. She never had that phase. This dog will bring a smile to the most cynical face. You just can't help but love this Precious Poodle Princess. 

​Conformation
Wow. That's really all I can say. Pearl's parents Winnie and Haus are both very large Standard Poodles. Haus is the maximum height for the breed standard of poodles, Winnie is above average for her gender. She's a very very large female. Together these two make very large puppies. When they are born they weigh almost an entire pound and double in size every week. I knew this from witnessing their first litter grow and knew I wanted one of the black beauties for our family. Pearl is amazingly athletic, standing 25" tall and weighing 60 lbs. She has a stout structure, is hardy and has stamina for days. She is a gentle giant that is well over the breed Standard for weight and height as a female Standard Poodle. So, those of you looking to show, the puppies that Pearl produces one day may not be the puppy for you. But, if you are looking for your own gentle giant to cuddle and watch how wonderfully derpy they can be, it will be perfect.

PennHip: RDI: 0.32, LDI 0.32 - Pearl's vet emailed me the results of her PennHip test and even commented that he was very impressed with the results and as far as breeding Pearl to improve the Standard Poodle as a breed, she is an excellent candidate! WooHoo!
