Rogue did not conceive with this past breeding with Monty.
Next and FINAL Rogue x Monty litter due Spring 2024
I am certainly bummed, but not entirely surprised Rogue did not conceive this go-around. Monty had to breed both Pearl and Rogue within the same week, he was much more interested in Pearl than Rogue and so he successfully connected with Pearl which left me to have to artificially inseminate Rogue and cross my fingers. AI normally works fine, although naturally has a slightly less percentage of success than the real deal. In this case, it didn't work at all.
Rogue will come into heat again in Jan/Feb 2024, and this time, she will be the only one being bred. This way it ensures Monty is focused on just her. I have no doubts she will conceive during that time. Monty and Rogue have never had troubles conceiving in the past and I have high hopes for the New Year!
